Along with all the impressive fighters, assassins, mages and other heroes in Awaken Chaos Era (ACE) is a cute little creature called ‘Foody’. He’s no good fighting, so what’s the point of him? What’s he for?
What Is Foody?
Foody is the specialist “material” monster/character/hero in ACE. Like many other gacha games, heroes in ACE have a level cap that can only be increased by Promoting them. Promoting a Hero involves sacrificing characters of the same grade (star level). To promote a one star hero, you simply sacrifice another one star hero – easy and painless. But to promote a four star hero you need to sacrifice four other four star heros. Ouch. To promote a five star hero, you need to sacrifice five of your precious five star heros. Mega ouch.
Holy pumpkins can stand in for heros, but above the three star grade these are very hard to come by. Of course, you could level up and promote your unloved low grade characters until they become useful material – at the cost of a lot of hard won experience.
Is there a better option? Yes. That’s where Foody comes in.
How To Use Foody
Foody has one important characteristic that makes him perfect promotion fodder: he only requires half as much experience as other Heroes to level up. (Obviously he won’t be earning experience from fighting, but you can feed him experience gel). Because he levels up so easily, you can advance him and then use him to promote other Heroes.
I wouldn’t waste a Foody on a one, two or three star upgrade. One and two star disposable Heroes are easily available, as are three star Holy Pumpkins. Instead I prefer to get my Foodys (Foodies?) up to grade 4 or 5 by devouring other Heroes and Pumpkins, then use them to promote my main four or five star Heroes.
How To Get Foody
Foodys are valuable, but not as hard to get as Legendary Heroes! You can often get Foodys as rewards for various achievements and they can also sometimes be bought in the various different currency shops. They can’t be obtained by Summoning.
