Storybook Brawl Dwarf Build

Introduction To Dwarfs

A Dwarf build in Storybook Brawl can be extremely strong – if you get the right characters at the right time. Unfortunately a lot of the dwarfs (or should that be dwarves?) in the game are weak. That can make it difficult to get your ideal comp, especially if the RNG is working against you.

Another factor working against dwarfs is that they are all neutral – none of them are Good or Evil, meaning you miss out on a lot of potential buffs.

Princess Wight used to be a massive card for a dwarf build, but following a recent patch she is a lot less powerful.

So there are a number of factors that make a strong dwarf build difficult to achieve, but if you manage it then this comp can be a game winner.

Key Characters

In the early game, you really want Fanny (stop sniggering at the back). Most early dwarfs are weak and she can make a big difference, especially if you manage to upgrade her.

The other key early game dwarf is Dubly. If you can get him early and pile on the boosts then he can become absolutely massive later in the game.

If you’re going for a dwarf build you’ll probably buy any dwarfs presented to you. But most of the early ones are pretty feeble and you’ll want to swap them out.

Going forward, you have three main target characters: Bossy, Angry and Lordy. A well buffed Angry and/or a Lordy is pretty much necessary to win.

Other Characters

As mentioned earlier, Princess Wight used to be a massive support character for a dwarf build. However she was nerfed in a recent patch. She’s still worth having, but you really need to get her early to make it worthwhile. If she doesn’t appear until level 5 or 6 then you probably want to ignore her.

Treasures and Spells

There is one treasure and one spell specifically targetted towards dwarfs.

The Hi! Ho! spell is a great buffer, especially if you have a full board of dwarfs. And if the RNG is nice to you, that random dwarf character might be just what you need. This is a no-brainer to buy.

Deepstone Mine is an excellent treasure in the early game, but later on you’ll probably find others with more value.

So a successful dwarf build in Storybook Brawl can be very powerful – often one of the best if you’re not playing an alignment based hero. It’s also pretty simple and doesn’t require much thinking about. However if the RNG is against you and you don’t get the right characters at the right time then things will end badly.
