Infinity Wars Reborn

It’s a big day for one of my favourite games – Infinity Wars is now Reborn as it officially comes out of Beta.

Infinity Wars is a collectible Trading Card Game (TCG). Unlike many such games where two rows of cards line up and take turns thumping each other, IW is far more sophisticated. The game board is divided into several Zones and – crucially – the game features simultaneous play. It’s a lot more intelligent and strategic than many other TCGs.

The game originally launched a few years ago, but suffered from a small support team and lack of exposure. At the beginning of 2016 Lightmare, the game’s creators, joined with Yodo1 games to work on Infinity Wars. The result is a much improved user experience.

The gameplay is still the same. However the team has squashed huge numbers of bugs as well as adding lots of extra content such as new cards (the Rebellion set), single user missions, etc. It’s still genuinely free-to-play: you can buy boosters but can reach a competitive level without doing so.

If you’re a fan of strategic TCGs and haven’t played Infinity Wars then give it a try. If you tried it in the past and didn’t get on with it then you might want to give it another go.

Infinity Wars is free to play and available via Steam for both Windows and Mac. You can find more about the game at Here’s the official trailer for Reborn:
