LCR
Most dice games have an element of luck involved. LCR is all luck. As such it's unlikely to appeal to hardcore gamers out for a serious session, however in the right company it can be great fun. It's well suited to those late nights when everyone is far too tired and emotional to concentrate on a deep, strategi game. The letters L-C-R refer to Left, Centre, Right in the UK and to Left, Center, Right in the US.
The game is published by George & Company and since it first appeared in the stores has become one of the most popular dice games you can buy.
How to Play LCR
A set of LCR consists of 24 chips plus three special dice. Each die is marked with three spots and the letters L, C R.The rules of the game are as simple as the equipment. Each player starts with three chips and the objective is to be the person who ends up with all the chips.
Each player on their turn rolls the three dice if they have three or more chips. If they have less than three chips then they roll one die for each chip. A player with no chips is not out of the game, they simply roll zero dice on their turn.
For every "L" a player rolls, one chip is passed Left. For every "R", one chip is passed Right. For every "C", one chip is placed into the "pot" in the centre of the table. No chips are passed for dots, so the best roll a player can make is three dots which means they retain all their chips.
Note that chips placed in the central pot are out of play. Thus the number of chips available gradually diminishes, ensuring that the game will end.
That's it! It's extremely simple and there's no skill involved yet in the right circumstances surprisingly good fun.
